I can’t believe how different I feel today in comparison to say two years or even a year ago. I never believed that the time spent in college was as significant as everyone made it out to be. Well, I was wrong that’s for sure. Granted there are still aspects of myself that remain flawed but I feel myself actually growing into an adult slowly but surely. I have no idea why it hit me today but somehow I realized that I’m not that 15 year old girl that has to have the last word. I will always have an opinion and that’s just Abbie, but I think now I am finally learning when the time is right to share those lovely thoughts of mine. I have let go of the petty games that most call “high school.” I’ve tried my best to forgive those who have wronged me and mend all severed ties with those I have hurt. I’m to the point now in my life where I want to be surrounded by people who are proud of who they are and enjoy the opportunities that they are given. Being twenty only lasts so long in one’s life. I’m trying to take full advantage of my time :)

The other night we went out to a bar in campo di fiori. When my roommates came home I guess they were extra loud and got yelled at by our neighbor. The next day I’m sitting in my life and leisure course for the first time and the professor makes an announcement (all super angry) to shut up after 11pm and how they woke the whole neighborhood up. Let’s just say that didn’t fall short of a super awkward moment.

In the simplest of words. I have the most amazing people in my life. Old and New. I wouldn’t be this happy without each and every person who has been a part of my journey. You matter more than the world to me.
